Honestly I think a team should just be composed of the best athletes. I should hope that there be more browns and yellows but I wouldn’t want the equivalent of affirmative action in sports just so they get a roster spot.
Agreed! However, I wonder why there are not opportunities for yellow and brown Americans to be best athletes in this...

Oh Canada...
as much as i dislike the country (LOL), i will say i appreciate how their Olympic team is so much more diverse than ours (so much for melting pot eh America?)
a handful of yellows and browns doesn’t equal diversity…a;slkdjfa;sldjkfa
now that that’s out of the way…Go team USA!

I’m wondering how you can know if a church isn’t right for you or not.
While I don’t want to paint this into a formula, I understand both extremes we swing to when it comes to our home-church. On one hand we want to loyally persevere through the rough seasons no…

From Dreaming to Believing: Like a fetter... →

O to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be! Let that grace now like a fetter, Bind my wandering heart to Thee. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above.

I think one of the differences as you grow older is the bridging of purpose and action.
These young kids remind me a lot of myself. Just drifting through life and being swept around by every breeze. Yet I look at the more mature people in my life and see a conviction that is reflected in their lives and actions.

For me, The Bible and my faith are actually very logical. I agree that they are ignorant and what they say shouldn’t waver our belief, but there is also a way to logically explain things like this.
I think it’s easier for believers to say that the Bible and our faith has a logical aspect to it, because...

In light of my recent post, I’ve been thinking a lot about non-Christians and the type of stuff they say/post to try to disprove/invalidate God and how powerful he is. They take scripture (esp. Leviticus) out of context and try to show how irrelevant it is. Or they take a biased scientific argument to try to show how God couldn’t have created it. I mean really the list goes on and on....

Father of Lights

It was interesting to say the least. I wasn’t really sure what to expect about the movie, because I wasn’t really sure what it was about, except to see God in a way that shows his heart for the world. You will see the impossible, and you will be changed forever.
Did I walk away changed forever? Well, maybe not, but it’s not to say that this...
